About Nature's NOG

Nature’s NOG
The Ideal Plant Stimulant for Turf Grass, Flowers, Lawns, Ornamentals, Crops, and Garden Vegetables

  • speeds germination and early growth
  • enhances root growth and hardiness
  • increases the health, strength and beauty of your plants.

What's Inside Nature's NOG? Mother Nature has generously provided the natural organic sources of hormones, enzymes and chelants. Seaweed from the North Sea and humate from high-quality deposits in Utah are the two best sources known to science and horticulture.

Nature’s NOG: The Next Generation of Organics

Nature's NOG was created and refined by a well-known scientist, researcher, educator and horticulturist.  After forty years of research and hundreds of lab and field tests, Dr. Senn knows the positive impact certain seaweed extracts and humates can have on plant growth.

Nature's NOG Liquid and Nature's NOG Granular are safe and environmentally friendly because the two natural ingredients are non-toxic and non-hazardous.

Dr. Senn's Nature's NOG is the culmination of exhaustive university research and field experience. Nature's NOG brings together the most effective, naturally occurring plant growth stimulants know to soil science. The result is a carefully balanced formulation, which is more effective as a combination of ingredients than any of its parts alone.

Nature's NOG is a totally organic, natural compound designed to enhance root formation, increase vascular strength, promote green color, and reduce stress on ornamental and agricultural plants. Nature's NOG is environmentally safe and completely non-toxic to humans, animals and fish.

Plant Response to Periodic Treatments

          roots are deeper and thicker

vascular system is stronger and hardier

          faster germination and upstart

appearance is deeper green and vibrant

withstands the rigors of stress conditions

shows increased fertility and fruit quality

The Key to NOG is in the Ingredients

The best seaweed.
We use Norwegian seaweed because it grows in the ideal conditions of clean, cold water with great mineral content. It is a consistent source of the greatest variety of growth hormones and natural chelants. We use the "cold" process to extract and retain the complex organic components that help to stimulate germination and early development, translocate nutrients within the plant, and unlock mineral value to get it to the plant.

The best humate. We use high-quality Leonardite humate from our mine in Utah, which chelates metal ions and boosts absorption, stimulates root-tip growth, serves as a high-energy food source for soil microbes, and is essential to plant life.

The best formula.
In 1957, the National Science Foundation gave Dr. Senn its first grant to research the effect of seaweed on plant growth. He has been active in his quest for more than forty years. Eventually, Dr. Senn brought together the two most effective, naturally occurring plant growth stimulants known to soil science. The result is a carefully balanced formulation, which is more effective as a combination of ingredients than either part is separately.

Seaweed Provides the Growth Hormones
The seaweed in NOG is Ascophyllum nodosum, harvested from consistently clean and cold waters off the coast of Norway. Products made from this seaweed are non-toxic and safe for use on food crops. It is generally dark brown to black with Adenine and Zeatin as its major cytokinins (Zeatin is the most biologically active cytokinin known). It supplies Betaines and a wide range of carbohydrates including mannitol and organic acids. It contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium magnesium and sulphur in its natural state. It also has the added advantage of having such natural minerals as zinc, iron, copper and manganese.

Humate Provides the Soil Conditioners and Stimulates Microbial Activity
Humate is a prehistoric compost pile of decomposed organic matter that is millions of years old. The finest humate mines in the world are in the western U.S. and our deposit is one of the richest in Utah.  Humate is the source of the three “humic-acids” and it provides carbon, a high-energy food source for soil microbes. Laboratory analysis has shown that our deposit also contains a great number of rare elements and micronutrients.

Fulvic and Ulmic acids stimulate cell division, especially at root-tips.
Humic acid aids in the chelation of minerals and increases nutrient absorption through the roots. Chelates are organic molecules that are able to hold and release certain metal ions, including such plant nutrients as calcium, iron, magnesium, copper, zinc and manganese. Plant roots can absorb mineral more easily when they are chelated. Natural chelates are produced by soil microorganisms and are abundant in humus.

Granular humate works in several different ways. Each humate granule becomes the center of beneficial microbial activity because the high carbon content is a great food source for the existing soil life. It improves soil-structure and formation for better aeration and changes the water-holding capacity of the soil. The Cationic Exchange Capacity is increased, which means that the soil will be able to hold more complex minerals and make them available to the plants. Therefore, translocation of minerals into the root and within the plant is improved.

Nature’s NOG combines the two best natural-organic stimulants known to science in a proven formula that every grower can use.
